We are the Friends of Peary's Eagle Island . We were established in 1992 as a non-profit and all volunteer organization. We work hand-in-glove with the Maine Bureau of Parks & Lands to maintain the Island and Peary's house in an historically accurate manner, and to make it as accessible and instructive as possible to the hundreds of visitors each summer

Eagle Island in Casco Bay, Maine is a state owned treasure that you can visit for the day between June 15 and Labor Day. It makes a fine family outing - both adventurous and educational. Projecting well into Casco Bay, the island is easy to reach and a perfect "pit-stop" for those simply making their way along the Maine Coast.
